I read farming books and magazines among other things during all 4 of my in-bed pregnancies and have been dreaming about having some land for quite a few years now. I don't think I would want to do all that you are doing, but I would love to have a big garden and some animals to provide good food for our family. Rob and I have been talking about bringing our kids and coming to visit you possibly sometime this spring or early summer if we can figure out something that works for you and for us. I'd love to hear from you if you have a few minutes to e-mail. I love the pictures from the Leopold Center bark-peeling day. One the the things I most loved about home-schooling my kids was watching them play/work in mud and trees and water and Legos. It's wonderful you are able to provide them with such rich, connecting experiences. Bring them out here to work in the dirt this summer. Oh, and so do you!
