Not Yet!

Still nothing! If Pigabella didn’t look so huge and ready, I’d begin to doubt my artificial insemination abilities. Shannon remembered just today that one of the months we were counting down was February, a short one, and our date is likely off by those two or three days. Pigs gestate for three months, three weeks and three days, which is a sort of interesting fact. I think tomorrow might be the right due date.

They don’t necessarily give birth on their due date do they? I assumed it was like people and they went into labor whenever. Can’t wait to see the piggies whenever they arrive.

Well, according to our pig books and local farmers we’ve questioned, pigs are remarkably on time. But I’d imagine a day or two in either direction would have to be expected. Go Pigabella!

Is the Parkwood pick-up open for anyone? It’s the one closest to me but there is no address listed so I wasn’t sure if that was a pre-arranged private drop-off.

If it’s open to all, please let me know the address. Thanks.
