Farm Fresh Fiber
Our wool is primarily Finn-Rambouillet, a very fine wool with a tight crimp that creates a soft, springy yarn. Our breeding program is geared toward producing lovely next-to-the-skin fibers. We also have heritage Jacob sheep which give us beautiful colors for natural yarns, but overall their fleeces are not as soft. We like to use those for felting fibers.

Needle Felting Kit: Two Funky Flower Pins $16
A felting needle, a block of foam to work on, 1.5 oz of multi-colored roving pieces, a few sweater scraps, pin backs and instructions to get you started.

Wet Felting Kit: Cat Toy Balls $13
2 oz. of multi-colored rovings and instructions to make several felt balls using your hands and soapy water.

Spinning and Felting Classes
These can be tailored for kids or adults, group or individual, advanced or beginning. Learn to spin on spindles or wheels and to felt using water or needles. We can also create a day-long farm and craft experience, involving work with our animals as well as fiber art instruction. $25/hr per person, group discounts for 3 and up.

Dye Party!
Bring Friends! Includes use of the Summer Kitchen Dye Studio and dye tutoring. Dyes included, wool for purchase or bring your own. $25/hr per person, group discounts for 3 and up.

Farm Birthday Parties for Kids of All Ages!
If you’ve got an animal-crazy kid or a craft-crazy friend, we can help you plan the party of a lifetime! We can host your party in the farmhouse, on the patio or up in the barn. Or we can bring supplies to you. Here at the farm, we can also provide of tour of the goats, sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks and gardens and arrange several craft activities – from woolcraft to decoupage to soapmaking and beyond!
