Oh, I'm so glad he went in the barn! I worried today that he'd be timid about going into the dark, since he's not been in a shelter for a few years. This is just the most wonderful situation ever. Thanks for being there...

Oh, Kriss....I'm crying....he already is loved. We have showered him with strokes and hugs and lots of windfall apples. He seems to be adjusting and spent most of this cold and windy day inside our barn.

Thank you for his story,
Jodi

Hi, Kriss. I'm working on details to bring Cricket the ewe and Amelie the goat, along with Cherie's goat. Would this Thursday work for you? I'm thinking mid-morning.

Also, wondering what you know about any available horses. I'd love to have one or 2. Any suggestions?

Let me know about the animal delivery.

Hi,
Plan A is for me to look for you about 3:30 tomorrow--Tuesday.
I may get off early. If so shall I call?
After talking with a few folks I guess I'l be looking for maybe $40 or $50/ mo to keep Shakespear. That is in line with the two people I know who board horses for friends. Straight business would be in another ballpark. So talk to me. Is that going to work for you?
More later. B

Hi, Monday or Sunday to move the goats? My computer is being weird so hope you get only one message. There is a trail ride Sat afternoon so I may not see you for Harvest Fest--AGAIN.
Maybe I will see you a bit tomorrow eve.
But then your time frees up-Right?
Keep well. B

Hi Kriss, I left a phone message but since I have a minute at work thought this might have a better chance of getting to you.
Your critters in the lower pasture seem fine. No trouble while I was gone. Is Congo behaving himself?
I have talked to a few folks who board horses so have some idea of the price range. Prices are all over the place. Since I have a humble facility I expect to be at the lower end of the scale. There is rough board, rough board with special care, etc. etc. You should think about what you do for and with Shakespear on a given day or week and what you would want me to do. If we are both clear on expectations I figure we can both be happy and he can be warmer but still content. For example how many times per day/week you give hay, feed, groom, pick his feet, exercise visit, pet etc. Since we know all this changes during the course of the winter think about hard winter versus mild. I am figuring my hay, barn & water and care. You provide feed, any extras, medications, wormer etc. you would want him to have but I will keep to his normal schedule unless we agree otherwise. He IS an old guy and I want the move to be as smooth as possible.
Are you still ready to ride Brava--should we make a date for me and my lunge line to come for a visit? Maybe you have already got her going? Sounds like fun.
