Field-to-Table Dinners - Book One Here or at Your Location
Farm and food are pretty much synonymous here at Circle M. We cultivate, we harvest, we eat. Farmer Kriss loves to cook and feeds the farm crew lunch everyday from the harvest pulled from the fields that morning, so we've got lots of experience with the farm-to-table concept. Last year we experimented with making dinners a part of our CSA shares and we LOVED doing it. The monthly events gave us a chance to share cooking skills and recipes with members in a more hands-on way than the website or facebook. And the lavish menus gave Kriss the opportunity showcase the farm's bounty, keep her sourdough starter in production, and show off all of her vintage linens and dishes!
We love the fellowship that gets built around a lazy, long dinner and the closer relationships and broader community ties we've taken back into our busy lives. We love the conversations about local food, land stewardship, policy, rural advocacy and health. We love getting to know our members better than ever and sharing the farm in ways we haven't been able to before. Most of all these meals made us feel very very thankful to be part of such a robust food system in beautiful place. We think they'll make you thankful, too. So we're inviting you to join us at the farm and around the table again this year! We can't wait to eat with you all! Every dinner will include a field walk with lots of opportunities to ask your gardening questions, as well as cooking instruction over the meal. For a look at the menus we're cooking up, check out the Farmer Kriss Field-To-Table Dinners page on Pinterest.
Circle M will provide all six courses for the dinner, but the bar is a potluck situation. Bring your leftover bottles of beer and liquor and your favorite cocktail recipes to share. We'll have ball jars and shakers and lots of herbs and seasonal fruits. Last year we sampled a lot of new recipes, both fully loaded and virgin! Of course, you are always invited to bring dishes to share as well, when the inspiration hits!
Never been to the farm before? We aren't that hard to find, but you will have to follow the directions closely and not get distracted by all the pretty views. Click here to find a map, or plug us into your phone/GPS: 1784 County Rd H, Blanchardville, WI, 53516.
